Ahead of the forthcoming 2023 General Elections, A Grandson of the Late Ex-President, Shehu Shagari, Bello has urged the newly-elected 2023 Presidential Candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to go for a Muslim-Muslim Ticket.
Shagari, a Youth Activist and APC Member made this known via his Official Twitter Page shortly after Tinubu was declared Winner of the Presidential Primaries.
According to him, the North is a major deciding factor in Nigeria when it comes to Presidential Election due to the huge voting strength of the Region.
Thus, he urged Tinubu to pick a Muslim Running Mate from the North otherwise Northerners i’ll vote for Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.
He added that Northern Voters are needed for Tinubu and his party, the APC to defeat the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in 2023.
“Nigerians are now left with very difficult decisions to make, they either vote for another Eight years of Northern Leadership or go for a Muslim-Muslim Ticket which is the only way for Tinubu get the required Northern Votes”, Bello Shagari wrote.
