The popular Dosunmu Market located in Lagos Island has been engulfed by fire.
Bellnews nderstands that the incident occurred on Tuesday morning.
According to a video shared on X (Twitter) and seen by our reporter, the user alleged that the fire was caused by a generator explosion.
“Just in guys, Eko Idumota (Dosunmu) Market on fire due to generator explosion, and no firefighters in sight yet,” the X user, simply identified as Adunni, claimed.
“The fire keeps going up. People are running for safety,” she added.
Officials of the state emergency management agency were yet to arrive at the scene as at the time of writing this report.
