The Federal Government has publicly comes out to announce the Increment in Call, SMS and Data Services.
The Announcement was Made online a while ago and it Stirred massive reactions from the general public with many taking to the Social Media to Express their Disappointment.
The Announcement was made by The Nigerian Minister of Finance Budget and National Planning, Zainab Ahmed yesterday being Thursday the 28th day Of July, 2022 in Abuja, The Federal Capital Territory.
According to the Minister, Telecommunication Subscribers will now pay 12.5 Percent tax on all Telecommunication Services Such as Calls, SMS and Data Services meaning that 5 Percent will be added to the already existing 7.5 Percent Tax.
The Minister also Stated that the Five Percent increment tax has been in the Finance Act 2022 but was not implemented as a result of some complications then.
