The Adamawa State chapter of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) has asked workers not to vote for the governorship candidate of the Labour Party in the state.
This was revealed through a Facebook post shar d on the official Facebook page of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC). It was also published on their website.
Mr. Mustapha Umar Wadawaki is the governorship candidate of the Labour Party in Adamawa State. But he is at loggerhead with the leadership of the NLC.
The decision to ask workers to reject the candidacy of Mr. Mustapha is due to a corruption case against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) which has been on since 2017.
The NLC states that until he is cleared of all the corruption allegations, he should not be accepted by workers in Adamawa State.
Mr Mustapha was charged to court after a housing project that he was involved in failed in 2015.
