The Enugu West Senator, Ike Ekweremadu, has revealed that David Ukpo was the one who offered to donate his kidney to his ailing daughter, Sonia, adding that David Ukpo isn’t a Minor but 21 Years Old.
The lawyer to Ike Ekweremadu, and his wife, Chief Adegboyega Awomolo, on Friday, told the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja that David Ukpo willingly offered to donate his kidney to The sick daughter of Ekweremadu who is suffering from kidney failure for the past five years.
Speaking further, The lawyer reveals that David Ukpo isn’t 15 years nor a Minor as reports had earlier claimed and that he allegedly told senator Ekweremadu that he was 21 years.
He added that David Ukpo had allegedly told the authority in the United Kingdom that he was 15 years and that He was not willing to return to Nigeria.
Recall that Ekweremadu and his spouse were apprehended by the UK Metropolitan Police, over claims of conspiring to harvest the organs of a minor, and that the duo allegedly fostered David Ukpo’s entry into the U.K to transplant his kidney into their ailing daughter, Sonia, who needed a kidney.
