The trial of renowned Afrobeat musician Seun Kuti, at the Chief Magistrates Court in Yaba, Lagos State, has been adjourned to Wednesday.
Bellnewsonline.com reports that the adjournment came after Chief Magistrate Adeola Olatubosun was absent from the court proceedings.
“The court sitting has been adjourned till tomorrow; the magistrate is not around,” stated an individual familiar with the matter, according to Sahara Reporters.
Earlier, Chief Magistrate Adeola Olatubosun had granted the police’s request for an extension of Seun Kuti’s remand by an additional four days.
Recall that the musician had been charged on May 13 with assaulting a police officer on Lagos’ Third Mainland Bridge.
