“My dear Family and Friends,

“I want to wholeheartedly thank you all for the tremendous outpour of love; calls, messages and commiserations following the devastating attack on my convoy which led to the gruesome death of my Regional Manager; Mr. Odum Ikechukwu and Personal Aide; Mr. Mathias Goodnews on Sunday; September 11, 2022 at Enugu-Ukwu, Anambra State.

“This is a tragic occurrence that no one ever foresaw. Who would have ever thought that after attending the Anglican Synod at Ozubulu, we would fall prey to prowling armed men.

“Two precious souls were taken from us. Two vibrant voices we love are now still. This has created a deep vacuum in my heart which can never be filled. After harrowing heartaches and tears, I will always have beautiful memories of these two loyal and impeccable young men who spent the past 15 years of their lives with me.

“However, I am consoled by the fact that we spent our last moments together in the house of our Lord Jesus Christ whose death and resurrection has secured eternal life for all who believe in him.

“While appreciating you all for the love and solidarity in this moment of grief, I want to kindly appeal to us all to support the families of these young men in any measure that we can.

“In the same vein, let me use this medium to pray for the peaceful repose of the two gallant mobile police officers; Inspector David Jimoh and Sgt Bello Lawan who lost their lives in the unfortunate attack on my convoy.

“I am also wishing the surviving police officers who sustained various degrees of injuries during the attack speedy recovery as they recuperate in various hospitals under my care.

“Conclusively, I pray the good Lord to grant the soul of the deceased repose, just as we seek divine help and grace for their families to bear this irreplaceable loss.

Thank you all!” .
