Bashir Jamoh, the former Director General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), has officially handed over the reins of the agency to Chudi Offodile, who previously served as the Executive Director of Finance and Administration.
Jamoh’s tenure came to a close on March 10, 2024. Offodile expressed gratitude to Jamoh for his significant contributions to the maritime sector and recognized his expertise in the industry.
“I want to extend my appreciation to the outgoing DG for providing guidance to me since I assumed the role of Executive Director of Finance & Administration four years ago. The industry will continue to benefit from your expertise,” remarked the acting DG.
Jamoh’s transition to Offodile aligns with the federal government’s guidelines outlined in the establishment circular titled ‘End of Tenure Processes for Heads of Extra-Ministerial Departments, Director-Generals, Chief Executive Officers of Parastatals, Agencies, Commissions, and Government-Owned Companies and Succession Guideline,’ issued on December 4, 2017.
