On Monday, the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) spearheaded protests against the ongoing killings in Plateau State and various parts of the country. The protest, known as the “Plateau Peace Walk,” was orchestrated by prominent Christian leaders, including Rev. Polycarp Lubo (State CAN Chairman), Rev. Dr. Stephen Baba Panya (ECWA President), Rev. Dr. Amos Mohzo (COCIN President), Rev. Nkechi Nwosu (Bishop of Methodist Church, Jos), and Rev. Dr. Gideon ParaMallam (President, Gideon and Funmi-ParaMallam Peace Foundation), among others.

Commencing the peace walk at the PRTVC Roundabout in Jos, the protesters marched towards the Rayfield Government House to express their disapproval of the current security situation. The protest aimed to draw attention to the continuous violence and insecurity plaguing Plateau State and other regions in Nigeria.
