Ifeanyi Okowa, presidential running mate of the Peoples Democratic Party, has slammed the All Progressives Congress, by saying they are not ready for election because of the inability of APC, to produce a running mate for Tinubu.
Ifeanyi Okowa claimed Tinubu’s decision to name Kabiru Masari as a placeholder rather than his running mate demonstrated that the APC is not smart.
Okowa’s words reads and I quote: “You can find that the APC is finding it difficult to get who would be their vice presidential candidate, we are hearing something we have not heard before, somebody on placement to be replaced.”
He went on to say that the APC is demonstrating their lack of intelligence by doing so.
He also believes that their actions demonstrate that they are not even prepared for the election, as there appears to be a lot of confusion within their party.
He has stated that, unlike the PDP, they have made their decision from the start, and that he believes his party is on the right track.
Despite Tunde Rahman, the APC presidential candidate’s spokesman, insisting that Tinubu submitted Masari’s name as his running mate, it is widely assumed that Tinubu submitted Masari’s name as a placeholder rather than his running mate.
However, according to a recent report, Tinubu is consulting with President Muhammadu Buhari and Masari on a final decision on his running mate, and Rahman has revealed that Masari may step down in the interest of the party.
