The Police Service Commission (PSC) announced on Thursday that it has shortlisted 171,956 applicants to proceed to the next stage of the recruitment process for the position of Police Constable. These shortlisted candidates will undergo Computer-based tests.
In a statement posted on its website, the PSC revealed that out of the 1,775 applicants from Lagos State, only 504 were successful in advancing to the next stage. Lagos thus ranks as the state with the second-lowest number of successful candidates, behind Anambra State which had 343 successful candidates, while Ebonyi had 600.
Mr. Solomon Arase, Chairman of the Police Service Commission, emphasized the disparity in successful candidates between the Northern and Southern parts of the country.
