The APC direct primaries holding today in Nnewi North, Nnewi South and Ekwusigo Federal Constituency appears to be near over as public opinion clearly indicates that Esomeju Nwafor-Orizu is maintaining clear lead against Vincent Onyeka who just returned from suspension after refusing to support APC candidate in the just concluded Anambra South Senatorial Rerun election last year.

Nonetheless, the direct primary election took multidimensional turn yesterday when a zonal officer of the party Dozie Ikedife maintained his stand against the chioce of consensus insisting that his ally Chief Vincent Onyeka must be on the ballot.

Bellnewsonline.com gathered that Ikedife published and shared a video claiming that the Director of mobilization to Pro-Tinubu campaign Chief Olisa Metuh assaulted him , because he refused to accept his own chioce of candidate.

However, a source close to both parties told bellnewsonline.com that there chances that the story is fabricated, because Ikedife is already angry with Chief Metuh as he alledged that he refused to suppoort his ambition of being the Deputy National Organising Secretary. And that Dozie Ikedife suspects that the allegations against him over diversion of funds sent to Nnewi North APC by stakeholders is master minded by Chief Olisa Metuh

Recall that a committee was set up by the Chairman of APC Nnewi North; Chief Innocent Orizu to investigate Ikedife over alledged diversion of funds meant for Nnewi North APC during the just concluded Gubernatorial Election. The committee after their findings wanted to take further action and was stopped by Chief Olisa Metuh who believes that it will affect Dozie Ikedife in the forthcoming congress.

All attempt to reach Chief Olisa Metuh by bellnewsonline.com has failed as he appears to be occupied with the presidential campaign program. Our team are still looking for a witness to Ikedife’s video narrative, but it appears is a political statement aimed at weeping up sympathy for his preferred candidate Chief Vincent Onyeka who appears to be loosing out already following his poor grip on existing party structure .
