Socialite and entrepreneur Chief Priest has stated that the southeast’s political alignment with President Bola Tinubu would lead to the release of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu.

He insisted that it is impossible to fight the Federal Government.

The socialite stated this while reacting to a video of the Igwe of Ezema Olo, Lawrence Agubuzo, appealing to Tinubu in Abuja.

In the video, the Igwe appealed directly to the President, urging him to “hear our cry” regarding the release of the detained leader

Chief Priest shared the video on his Instagram page with a message supporting the monarch’s intervention.

He wrote: “The message is very clear. God bless Your Royal Highness for partaking in Nigeria’s future. If His Highness had not gone to Abuja, how would Asiwaju have received this message?”

He stressed the importance of political alignment, urging the South-East to support President Tinubu, arguing that it could lead to favourable outcomes for the region.

He said, “We cannot fight the government. If Asiwaju frees MNK, the Igwe has already paved the way. Let’s get along with Nigeria. Tinubu won the last election without the South-East.”

“He will win again, so why not give him our votes so he can do what we ask in return? Hopefully, he will hand over power to an Igbo man.”

He also highlighted Tinubu’s political influence, noting, “He has the best political structure in the country to win elections. The Igbo’s best stake is on Asiwaju. let’s think it through and not waste our votes.”
