For many years, Nigeria has been suffering from insecurity which have led to the death of thousands of people and properties worth millions of naira has been destroyed.
The presidential candidate of PDP, Atiku Abubakar have revealed what he believes is one of the major causes of insecurity in Nigeria.
According to Atiku Abubakar, the main reason why insecurity remains one of the major challenges in Nigeria is that all the 17 security agencies in Nigeria is being headed by people from the northern part of the country.
According to Atiku Abubakar, some parts of Nigeria has been excluded and marginalized in so many areas.
Atiku Abubakar noted that since the 17 security agencies in Nigeria is being headed by people from one region of Nigeria, then other regions will continue to protest and do things that will most likely worsen the security situation of the country.
According to Atiku Abubakar, some parts of Nigeria needs to be carried along so that they can also have a sense of belonging.
According to Atiku Abubakar, there is a very big imbalance in the security agencies of the country and this imbalance is one of the reasons why insecurity is worsening in the country.
Atiku Abubakar believes that the 17 security agencies in Nigeria should not be headed by northerners alone.
He believes that if the security agencies are headed by people from different parts of the country, insecurity will reduce.
