A staff of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Kate Akpabio, has been kidnapped by some unknown gunmen in Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State.
Zagazola Makama, a counter-terrorism expert said the female staff of the FRSC was abducted on Monday, May 26.
According to Makama, security operatives in the area have confirmed the incident.
He also noted that the security operatives have assured the general public that a rescue operation for the abducted FRSC staff was underway.
In a post made on social media, Makama said the incident occurred at about 5.30 am.
He stated that the yet-to-identified gunmen invaded the Rantya community in Jos and abducted the officer.
Makama wrote, “Army troops and other security agencies were mobilised to the scene upon receiving the distress call.
“A preliminary investigation confirmed that the assailants took the victim to an unknown destination before security forces arrived,” he added.
