President Bola Tinubu and former Vice President Yemi Osinbajo met in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, on Tuesday.

The meeting took place on the sidelines of the Africa Heads of State Energy Summit, where President Tinubu is representing Nigeria.

The Africa Heads of State Energy Summit, hosted by the Tanzanian government in collaboration with the African Development Bank Group and the World Bank, aims to advance “Mission 300.” This initiative seeks to provide electricity access to 300 million people in Africa by 2030.

Discussions during the summit focus on accelerating energy access in underserved regions, renewable energy, energy efficiency, and mobilizing private sector investment.

Former Vice President Osinbajo, once a close ally of President Bola Tinubu, surprisingly contested against him in the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary in 2022, which Tinubu ultimately won with 1,271 votes, defeating Osinbajo, Rotimi Amaechi, and others.
