The Assistant Governor of the Rotary International Club, Zone 23, Nnewi, Rotarian Tony Muodielu, has expressed his joy and excitement over the ongoing visit of the District Governor 9142, Rotarian (Prof.) A.U.Nnonyelu to Nnewi Zone 21,22, and 23.
Speaking during an exclusive interview with Don Peter Okoro at Nnewi Hotels, the Vibrant and Ebullient Assistant Governor of Zone 23,who is equally the Incumbent Chairman of the Nnewi North Chapter of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) stated that they feel very elated receiving the District Governor.
He pointed out that the District Governor 9142 is the Governor of the Rotary Club in the following seven states: Anambra,Enugu, Imo, Abia, Ebonyi, Cross River and Akwa Ibom States.
As part of the programs lined up for the visit, the District Governor paid a courtesy visit to His Royal Majesty Igwe K.O.N. Orizu 111 who happily welcomed and blessed him.
He also went to Ezekwuabor Central Primary School to unveil the fencing of the school which was sponsored by Rotarian Chikwado Ejimbe in collaboration with Rotary Club 23.
They were also able to celebrate the Crown Prince with the District Governor and it was a very joyful occasion. After the visits and interactions, they came back to the Hotel for the Club Assembly and then had a Rotary Club Hospitality Nite.
Rotarian Tony Muodielu aka Tony Class described Prof.A.U. Nnonyelu as a very energetic and brilliant man who is determined to move the Club to the highest level. He noted that the District Governor has been able to go round and see his people in order to get first hand information about them. To know their challenges, problems and successes and proffer solutions.
Tony Klass informed that the District Governor was very happy with what is happening in Nnewi and appreciated them for representing the Rotary Club very well. And that he equally gave them some useful advice on how to move forward. The courtesy visit continues till Saturday the 29th of November, 2024.
