In a heart-wrenching plea for assistance and clarification, an elderly woman has reached out to Evangelist Ebuka Obi of Zion Ministry after experiencing what can only be described as a devastating abandonment by her own children, allegedly prompted by a prophecy from the pastor. The distressing appeal surfaced in a widely circulated video where the octogenarian recounted her harrowing ordeal following the pastor’s prophecy.
While the woman’s name, age, and exact location remain unconfirmed at the time of this report, there are speculations that she is a widow from Anambra State with seven children.
The viral video, obtained by journalist Izunna Okafor, reveals the widow with a fresh and deeply troubling wound on her leg, reportedly infested with maggots. Throughout the footage, she remains seated on her bed, visibly incapacitated by her prolonged illness.
The crux of the matter lies in the woman’s claim that her children and relatives, who were previously caring for her and funding her medical treatments, have abandoned her following the pastor’s prophecy. According to her, the predicament began in 2021 when one of her daughters-in-law sought miraculous healing at Zion Ministry after conventional medical efforts failed.
During a prayer session, Evangelist Obi allegedly prophesied that the illness was caused by an “insider” within the family, without disclosing the identity to prevent discord. Despite the pastor’s pledge to reverse the sickness, the widow asserts that her children grew distant and deserted her after a similar prophecy in October 2023, suspecting her to be the unnamed culprit.
The woman, who had devotedly raised her children and supported them financially, laments their sudden abandonment in her time of need. Formerly supportive, her children ceased communication and financial aid, even those residing abroad, leaving her to fend for herself amidst her illness.
Expressing her innocence, the widow emphasizes that Evangelist Obi never mentioned her name as the perpetrator and pleads for him to publicly disclose the identity to clear her name. Despite visiting Zion Ministry multiple times and confiding in Pastor Obi’s associates, including his twin brother, she received no assistance, leaving her to plead with the public for intervention.
While refraining from condemning the pastor’s prophecy, the widow implores those with access to Evangelist Obi to facilitate communication, hoping for reconciliation with her estranged children and the restoration of family unity and love.
