In a thrilling celebrity boxing match sanctioned by Heritage Boxing Entertainment, Nigerian street-pop artist Habeeb Badmus, popularly known as Portable, emerged triumphant over Nollywood actor Charles Okocha after the fourth round. The intense showdown took place at Landmark Beach in Victoria Island, Lagos State and lasted approximately 40 minutes.
The clash between Portable and Okocha was a culmination of their online feud, triggered by Portable’s claims of a contractual breach that resulted in an alleged N40 million rip-off by Okocha. The highly anticipated fight aimed to settle their differences with fists instead of words.
In Round One, Portable seized an early lead with a confident start, donning a blue pair of knickers and a matching armless top. He dominated the ring, landing several jabs to Okocha’s body, who sported a red top and red shorts.
Round Two saw Okocha making a comeback, skillfully avoiding Portable’s blows. Okocha gained significant ground, amassing points and showcasing resilience despite facing a tough opponent. His jabs even brought Portable down, requiring the referee’s intervention.
Round Three witnessed Portable attempting a comeback by maneuvering around the ring, aiming to regain control. Okocha closely followed his movements, and Portable capitalized on opportunities to counter the blows from the previous round.
In the fourth and final round, both celebrity boxers exhibited signs of fatigue. However, Portable surprised Okocha with direct punches, catching him off guard. When the referee called for Round Five to determine the winner, both contenders declined to continue, leading to Portable’s declaration as the winner.
Although Portable did not secure victory through TKO, KO, or points, his triumph earned him the championship belt, solidifying his position as the deserving champion in this hard-fought battle.
