Victor Oye’s: The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) High Court 40 sitting in Bwari, Abuja, has sacked Barr. Sly Ezeokenwa Jr. as the National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).
In his judgement delivered Tuesday afternoon, Justice Mohammed Madugu nullified all actions taken by Chief Victor Ikechukwu Oye since the Supreme Court, in a March 24, 2023, judgement, deleted his name from the annals of APGA history.
The apex court has also replaced Chief Oye’s name with that of Chief Edozie Njoku, who it affirmed as the authentic National Chairman of APGA.

The court ordered that all actions of Oye are unlawful, hence null and avoid.
Justice Madugu further ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to recognize Chief Njoku as the National Chairman of APGA in line with the Supreme Court judgement of March 24.

The judge nullified all National Working Committee (NWC), National Executive Committee (NEC) meetings, congresses and convention conducted by Victor Oye.
With this judgement, the Supreme Court judgement of March 24 has been fully enforced.
It could be recalled that News Band reported that the court had, in its recent judgement, ordered Oye to stop parading himself as the National Chairman of APGA.
It also declared any congress and/or convention held by the former APGA chairman as illegal.
The congress would later produce 38-year-old, Sylvester Ezeokenwa, who was elected on Wednesday, May 31, in Awka, the Anambra State capital, as the party’s national chairman to succeed Victor Oye.
Oye had held a National Executive Committee meeting in Awka, in clear defiance of the Federal High Court order that barred him from doing so.
All attempts by Oye to arrest today’s judgement failed following Justice Madugu’s verdict over the request by Ikpeazu, SAN, to adjourn the matter sine die.
