Waziri Adamu, a former minister of Police Affairs and a member of PDP’S Board of Trustees was a guest on Politics Today a program anchored by Seun Okinbaloye on Channels television, during the interview issues concerning the crisis surrounding the emergence of Okowa as Vice presidential aspirant and Atiku’s competition in the 2023 election were discussed.
Seun Okinbaloye asked Waziri Adamu if Atiku will be able to defeat the likes of Bola Tinubu and Peter Obi in the presidential election, Waziri reacted by saying Peter Obi does not stand a chance because the election will be based on arithmetical and mathematical permutations and Peter Obi does not fit into that matter.
“Peter Obi is an effervescence, an effervescence means it is like a wind just coming up for a brief period and it is going to die down because the presidential election will be based on arithmetical and mathematical permutations and Peter Obi doesn’t fit into that matter”.
Reacting to the merger talks between Peter Obi and Kwankwaso, Waziri Adamu said that, “Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso don’t need to go their separate ways before they join force, if there is need for merger none of them would have gone to NNPP or Labour party to do that, from day 1 they would have come together, afterall Kwankwaso joined NNPP much earlier than Peter Obi joined Labour party.
Peter Obi and Kwankwaso are products of PDP, they made a name and created the cliche because they had a national political platform and I can assure you that both of them will work more for Atiku Abubakar than for Bola Tinubu who they have never had any political relationship with from 1999 till date”.
