The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, on Friday (today) arrived in Minna, Niger State capital, for a crucial meeting with former military President Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (IBB).

Bellnewsonline.com had reported earlier that the presidential hopeful and some governors on the platform of the nation’s main opposition party are expected to meet IBB today over the crisis rocking the party ahead of the 2023 general elections.

Recall that five aggrieved PDP governors had vowed to work against Atiku in the presidential race.

The Governors are Nyesom Wike (Rivers State), Samuel Ortom (Benue State), Okezie Ikpeazu (Abia State), Seyi Makinde (Oyo State), and Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi (Enugu State).

Bellnewsonline.com understands that the Governors had condemned northern dominance in crucial positions in the party. One of their key demands is the call for the resignation of the party’s National Chairman, Iyorchia Ayu.

IBB is expected to host a closed-door meeting with the PDP chieftains today in Minna.

Our Votes Will Determine Tinubu’s Victory In 2023 – North-West APC
The North-West chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) said on Thursday that voter turnout from the region would determine who the next president of Nigeria will be, Bellnewsonline.com reports.

It said that the party’s presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, deserves all the support needed to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari in the 2023 poll.

APC Director Contact and Mobilisation Committee of the Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), North-West, Aminu Jaji, said yesterday that the former governor of Lagos State played a vital role in ensuring Buhari’s victory in the 2015 and 2019 elections, hence, deserved a returned favour.

Bellnewsonline.com reports that Jaji stated this during the inauguration of the party’s committee in Abuja. The APC chieftain expressed confidence that Tinubu would defeat his opponents to win the 2023 presidential poll.

About the 2015 and 2019 election results, Jaji believes APC would coast to victory due to its popularity.
