Valentine Ozigbo, a prominent Anambra politician and former governorship candidate, has officially joined the All Progressives Congress (APC). The move comes less than 24 hours after his resignation from the Labour Party (LP).

Ozigbo, alongside Nze Afam Okpalauzuegbu, the former LP secretary, formalized their membership with the APC at their ward in Amesi, Anambra State, on Thursday, February 20, 2025.

Ozigbo, who previously served as the Chief Executive Officer of Transnational Corporation of Nigeria, contested the 2021 Anambra governorship election under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) but was defeated by Chukwuma Soludo of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).

The APC has welcomed Ozigbo and Okpalauzuegbu into its fold, expressing optimism about the positive impact of their inclusion on the party’s prospects in the upcoming Anambra governorship election scheduled for November 2025.
