In the publication made by SaharaReporters, they revealed that Ovie Omo-Agege, the APC’s governorship candidate, and other party officials in the state were let down on Wednesday after spending the entire day waiting for Tinubu to arrive at the Osubi airport in Warri, but the Presidential candidate failed to show up.
However, Friday Osanebi, members of his campaign council, party leaders, and supporters are among those who were stuck at the airport waiting for The APC’s Presidental flag bearer. Around 10 am, the Nigerian Deputy Senate President and others gathered at the airport in Warri in anticipation of Tinubu’s arrival for a tour of the neighbourhoods devastated by flood in the state. It is possible that Tinubu has been busy with his campaign and rallies, but it is not enough reason for standing up the Nigerian Deputy senate president.
Most of the party members and leaders were disappointed with their party’s presidential candidate for failing to show up. However, Omo-Agege, the state’s APC governorship candidate, reportedly hurriedly converted the event into a mini-rally and announced a joint charitable contribution of N200 million on behest of Tinubu for the state’s flood victims in an effort to save face. Tinubu is yet to state publicly the reason for his absentee from such an invitation. Could this mean that there are division among the APC campaign team? Could Tinubu’s absence be related to health issues?
