Nollywood actress, Doris Ogala, has clarified a statement about drug use by her colleague, Regina Daniels.
Bellnews reports that Regina, in a post via Instagram on Sunday, reacted to her estranged husband, Ned Nwoko’s allegation of drug use.
She wrote, “Ned, how could you lie so openly and without even small remorse? You know my family has absolutely nothing to do with this. You have always tried to cut them off because of the bond we share, and now you are trying to make them look bad for no reason.
“Fine, I did drugs. So what? Is that even the issue between us? The moment we had a fight, you rushed to the public, shouting.
“drugs, drugs, drugs,” because you knew it would make a perfect story for the media, something dramatic enough to distract everyone from the real issue!”
Many netizens and news outlets read her statement as a confirmation of Nwoko‘s claim that she indeed abuses drugs while they were married.
However, Doris, in a statement on her Instagram page, asserted that Regina’s remark was never an admission to drug use but was a defence to Ned Nwoko’s claim.
She wrote, “She was clearly defending herself. You said I do drugs. Yes, I do drugs, is that enough reason to arrest my family?
“This is looking like a blackmail to bring her back to an abusive and toxīc marriage. Make it make sense.
“Regina did not admit to doing drugs. This is a clear case of obsession; you must marry me. Haba nau. What kind of thing is this? This girl has cried out that she’s being abused, and you still want her to go back after allegedly stating that she’s being injected and experiencing forceful penetration. And you still want her to come back. Haba nau.
“Give the little girl a break. At least let her cool off her head. Her brother is still in prison, yet u want them to come back. Nawa.”
