As the mayoral election comes close bellnews have put together a list of leading eligible contestant for the position of mayor of Nnewi and below is the list:
1. Cornel Osigwe:
Cornel from Okpuno Nnewichi is the past Head of Corporate Communications for Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing. Cornel is a homegrown Onye Nnewi who operates his Public Relation firm from Nnewi. Cornel facilitates many youth oriented programs in Nnewi. He is a member of APGA.
2. Ejike Ndubuizu: Ogbuefi Ikwuoma as he is fondly called is from Obiofia Nnewichi. Ogbuefi is a digital businessman, former market leader and the current Deputy Chief of Staff to the current Mayor of Nnewi North Local Government. Ogbuefi is a homegrown politician and one of the emerging voices in Nnewi politics. He is a member of APGA.
3. Ejim Ucheagwu: Ejim from Okpuno Nnewichi is the current chairman of Nnewi Youths. Under his leadership many Nnewi Youths have been trained and mobilized for small scale start ups. Ejim is a complete homegrown material who has cut his teeth in local Nnewi politics for years. Ejim who is a former member of PDP is now a full fledged member of APGA
4. Emma Chuks: Emma is from Abubo Nnewichi. He is the current President General of Nnewichi. Under his young and dynamic leadership Nnewichi has found a new voice and outlook. Emma Chuks who runs his car logistics business from Nnewi is also a home grown material. He is a member of APGA.
5. Dr. Obinna Ngonadi. Dr. Obinna Ngonadi from Okpuno Nnewichi is the son of Mr. Humphrey Ngonadi. He was a commissioner under Soludo and contested State House of Assembly in 2019. Like his father, Dr. Obinna Ngonadi runs his own chains of businesses and understands market development economy.
