The President/Founder of Sweethome Africa Humanitarian Foundation Rev.Dr. Austin Ifeanyi Epunam JP Atu Nnewi, has sent a Congratulatory Message to the former Chairman of the Police Service Commission (PSC), Chief Dr. Simon Nsubundu Okeke OON, OFR, (Ochendo). In a Press Release made available to Newsmen, Dr. Epunam pointed out that it takes the special grace of God for anyone on earth to live up to such a grand good old age of 90 years.
He described Chief S. N. Okeke as:””a quintessential Elder Statesman, Iconic Igbo Leader and an Unforgettable Philanthropist, whose kindness and goodness is evident in the lives of people who are privileged to come in close contact with him.”
He prayed that God in His infinite mercy will continue to safeguard, prosper and cause him to enjoy the best of health all the days of his life. Announcing the forthcoming Celebration, the Celebrant revealed that the Event comes up on the 7th of January 2026 at the Cathedral Church of St. Andrew’s Anglican Communion Amichi, Nnewi South, Anambra State by 12:00 noon, while Reception follows immediately at the Super Royal Hotel near his Akatar Lodge Amichi.
He further stated that:”” God saw me through my successful professional life in Co- Founding and Chairmaning of the Knight, Frank & Rutley (Nig.) and successfully Chairmaning of the Police Service Commission after retiring from active professional practice.
Certainly, without God’s love and guidance, I couldn’t have accomplished this, especially with a good measure of sound health to this day. “” Ochendo who is equally the Grand Patron of Sweethome Africa Humanitarian Foundation pointed out that his Town Amichi is the historic Town where the Nigeria– Biafra war technically ended on the 13th of January 1970.
He posited that the Celebration will serve the dual purpose of taking an excursion into history as well. Guests are expected to come from all over the country and abroad.
Meanwhile, the Celebrant Is collaborating with Sweethome Africa Foundation to give the Ceremony the Super Touch and Packaging it deserves.
