Senate Summons Security Chiefs over Plateau Massacre

In response to the Christmas eve attacks in Plateau State that resulted in the tragic death of over 100 Nigerians, the Senate has taken decisive action by summoning key security chiefs for a comprehensive briefing.

Those summoned include the National Security Adviser, the Chief of Army Staff, the Chief of Air Staff, the Director-General of the Department of State Services, the Inspector-General of Police, and the Director-General of the Nigeria Intelligence Agency.

This resolution was passed during a Saturday session in Abuja, presided over by the Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio. The Senate has mandated the security chiefs to engage in a closed-door session to provide detailed information on the incidents. The specific date for this meeting will be announced in due course.
