On Tuesday, Men of the Nigeria Army allegedly stormed the scene and shot at protesting students in Akure, Ondo State.
The Students who were protesting peacefully following the extension of the ongoing strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), had their peaceful demonstrate disrupted by the Nigerian Army and were reportedly shot at.
According to reports some were left injured, while some ran for their lives, leaving them in shock.
The Nigeria Army were filmed firing rounds to disperse peaceful protesting students recording that has gone viral on internet.
According to a tweet from one of the protesting student present at the venue, he revealed some of the bullets gotten form the location.
NANS tweeted: “NIGERIAN MILITARY just disrupted Nig Students Peaceful protest against the prolonged ASUU Strike @ Akure, Ondo State. These are some of the bullets gotten from the venue.”
