Prince Pius Ebiyemi Emiko is not just a Prince of the Warri Kingdom in Delta State, but he can be rightly described as a man with the Midas Touch, because anything he touches turns out to be successful.
As a major player in the Oil and Gas Sector of the Nigerian economy, his impact can be felt everywhere. He is equally a veteran Journalist, a seasoned Mass Communicator, a grassroot Mobilizer and Political Stakeholder of no mean repute.
He contested for the position of Senator during the 2015 general election under the banner of the All Progressives Congress ( APC).
Prince Pius Ebiyemi Emiko is a highly acclaimed Public Affairs Analyst, a Community Engagement Strategist and Oil/Gas Consultant.
The Prince had his early education at St. John’s Primary School Warri, where he had his First School Leaving Certificate in 1970. From 1971 to 1976 he was at Hussey College Warri, where he completed his secondary education in flying colours.
In 1977, he gained admission into Shell Training School Warri for a Diploma in Plant Operations, with bias for Heavy Gas Lift Compressors.
Between 1979 and 1983, Prince Pius Emiko was at the prestigious University of Nigeria Nsukka where he bagged a B.A. (Hons) in Mass Communication.
Since then, he has attended many Management and Leadership Training Courses. He has a Certificate in Performance Management Processes and Measurements; another Certificate in managing PR in the Oil Industry in 1990 and in 1994 a Certificate in Conflict and Crisis Management.
He equally holds a Certificate in Operational Excellence and another in Leadership Development Superior Performance and a Certificate in Incident Command Systems from the HARTEC Institute, USA.
Started his career in the Oil and Gas Industry as a Plant Operator with Shell Petroleum Development Company Warri and Ughelli from 1978 to 1979. After his University education, he did his Youth Service as a Reporter with Rima Radio Sokoto from 1983 to 1984 and eventually became a Public Relations Assistant at the Federal Ministry of Communications, Sokoto in 1984. By 1985 he was a Government House Correspondent, Bendel Television,Benin City and became Head of Newsgathering Bendel Television from 1986 to 1987.
He joined Chevron Nig. Ltd. on the 1st of June 1989 as a Public Affairs Specialist and was appointed Public Affairs Representatives, Western Operations in 1991, he was promoted again Coordinator, Field Public Affairs, Warri/Portharcout in 1993 and moved to Lagos in 1996 as Coordinator,Public Affairs Lagos/ Warri/ Escravoos. Promoted Field Superintendent,Public Affairs in 1999 with base in Escravos, looking after Chevron’s entire Community Relations Programs and Sustainable Development Initiatives.
In 2003, he was appointed Community Engagement Manager with responsibility for working communities and building bridges of friendship across the Niger Delta and for ensuring local capacity development of Community Contractors and leading Company efforts at localizing Nigerian Content development.
Again promoted Manager in charge of Planning and Strategy for Policy, Government and Public Affairs ( PGPA), Department, Lagos, at Chevron Nig Ltd, prior to his early retirement by choice in 2007.
In this position, he was responsible for all interface with NAPIMS especially in relation to Community development projects, budgeting, monitoring and compliance to local content development requirements.
As a Leader, Prince Dr. Pius Ebiyemi Emiko was the Special Adviser, Planning and Strategy to the Delta State Chairman of Action Congress of Nigeria ( ACN) 2011 –2014. He was also the APC Senatorial Candidate for Delta South in the 2015 general elections. Prince Pius Emiko is a Director of Shotis– Ark Nig. Ltd.

The Prince served in the election Planning and Monitoring Directorate of the APC Campaign Council in 2019. He was named a Member of the Support Group Directorate of the APC Presidential Campaign Council in 2023 and served as Coordinator of the APC Campaign for Delta South Zone in 2023.
Prince Emiko was inaugurated as the National Chairman, South South Region for Bola Ahmed Tinubu SOSOBAT in 2022 till date. Prince Dr. Pius Ebiyemi Emiko is a Member of the Olu of Warri’s Advisory Council.
His Awards and Achievements include, but not limited to being honoured with a Ph.D. in Business Administration ( Honoris Causa) from the Prowess University, Delaware, USA in 2022.
He provided leadership to a crack team of professionals to win two Offshore Oil Fields in the 2021 Marginal Field Bid Round.
He equally represented Chevron Nig Ltd in the World Wide Policy, Government and Public Affairs Conference in San Ramon, California in 1994 and also at Walnut Creek, California in July 2004. Prince Emiko was the Representative of Chevron Nigeria on the Board of Clean Nigeria Associates ( CNA) an Emergency response Organization put together by Oil Companies in Nigeria to deal with big Oil spills and other environmental emergencies associated with hydrocarbon exploration and production.
The Prince is a Certified Member of Chevron Worldwide Incident Command System and Emergency Response Team, he is also a Bicentennial Member of Library of Congress, Washington DC USA and Senior Member of International Public Relations Institute ( IPRI).
Prince Dr. Pius Emiko is a man of excellent interpersonal relationship endowed with a sagacious organizational and communication skills, very proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel Outlook and Power Point Tools and an excellent decision Analyst and Project Manager. He has travelled extensively in Nigeria, the United Kingdom, Europe,USA, the near and far East.
He loves boating, fishing, swimming, reading biographies, researching the bible, watching and playing soccer.
