Speaking with Award Winning Journalist, Don Peter Okoro Hon.Mrs. Okoli said:

“The election was very successful. It was a free and fair election and we did very well. It was a contest between many Political Parties and in every contest, a Winner must emerge.

After the election, the result was announced and it really favoured me because my Party APGA won convincingly.

I want to use this opportunity to thank the people of Nnewi. They all came out in their number to vote for us.

I thank them and may the Almighty God bless each and every one of them in Jesus name.””

On her Agenda for Nnewi she replied:

“We have a lot in stock for Nnewi. I’m going to cooperate with my Mayor Hon. Echezona Anazodo to do things that will make Nnewi people to be proud of us.””

Expressing her gratitude to the Voters, she said:

“First of all, I want to express my profound gratitude to His Royal Highness, Obi Charles Afam Obi Ogidi IV, The Obi of Uruagu. I equally thank the father father of Uruagu,DrCletus Ibeto.

Most importantly my sincere gratitude goes to my dear and loving husband,Hon. Innocent Okoli, (Organizer).

He is the one that gave me the courage and moral boost to embark on this journey. I thank Mba Mba.

My special thanks also goes to ArchBishop Emmadavid Okafoagu who is a good friend of my husband for his great support. I pray that God will bless all the people of Nnewi including the youths, the men and the women.

They all came out to stand with us.

I thank them.”” On her message to those that did not win, she answered:

“‘Like I said before, if two or more people are contesting for something, one person must win. It becomes the duty of the winner to comfort the loser and to encourage him or her to try again. So, I’m telling those that lost to calm down. Maybe next time it will favour them. Finally, I pray that God will continue to bless the good people of Nnewi who made this dream to become a reality. Thank you.””
