Member representing Nnewi North, Nnewi South and Ekwusigo Federal Constituency of Anambra State in the House of Representatives, Hon. Ifeanyi Peter Uzokwe has displayed his two-year scorecard, saying his time in office has been marked with enormous achievements.
Speaking during an interactive session with the Stakeholders of Federation of Old Nnewi Division (FOND) at Anaedo Hall, Nnewi on Tuesday, April 7, Uzokwe disclosed he had sponsored and supported motions and bills focused on economic growth, infrastructure development and improved welfare for citizens, with particular attention to small and medium-scale enterprises that boost commerce in Nnewi.
“I have taken part in oversight functions aimed at ensuring accountability in government agencies.My efforts have been centred on infrastructure and social intervention projects.
“I have awarded scholarships and bursaries to students, distributed learning materials and contributed to the upgrade of school facilities.
“I have empowered youths and women with sewing machines, grinding machines and tricycles and also initiated skill acquisition programmes to promote self-reliance.
“Through free medical outreach programmes, I have helped in saving lives of my people and have facilitated the provision of equipment to some health centres” Lawmaker revealed.
Interestingly, Hon. Uzokwe has mapped out April 9-12, 2026 for another round of free medical outreach to take place at Diocesan Hospital, Akwudo, Otolo, Nnewi, Diocesan Hospital, Amichi, and Joint Hospital, Ozubulu.

He encouraged parents to allow their children and wards learn one skill or another no matter the course they read at the higher institutions.
Uzokwe explained he preferred giving people a lasting solution to their economic needs, promising to make about 420 people from his constituency millionaires.
The stakeholders of FOND in their submissions said they agreed on Rotational Agreement for the House of Representatives seat among the three local government areas of Nnewi North, Nnewi South and Ekwusigo Federal Constituency for equity, fairness and inclusiveness.
“The agreement was designed to ensure balance representation with each local government entitled to two tenures” they revealed.
They disclosed that FOND provides the framework for such agreements, adding that they recognise that their sustainability ultimately depend on the collective commitment, integrity and goodwill of their people.
“The forum provides a good opportunity for Hon. Uzokwe to share insights on legislative activities, policies and programmes at the National Assembly and how they impact our people.
“It also offers stakeholders platform to articulate the needs, concerns and aspirations of our community for appropriate attention at the federal level” they further stressed.
The gathering witnessed questions and answers session where the constituents engaged the Hon. Member on issues of importance to them and satisfied answers were provided.
