The Governor of Kano State, Abba Yusuf, led a high-powered delegation on Sunday night to Madina, in Saudi Arabia, for the funeral services of the late billionaire businessman and elder statesman, Alhaji Aminu Dantata.

Bellnews reports that Dantata died in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, where he had spent his last days of his life.

The well-known industrialist and philanthropist passed away early on Saturday.

According to a statement released by Governor Yusuf’s spokesperson, Sanusi Tofa, Kano Emir, Khalifa Muhammadu Sanusi II, Jigawa State Governor Alhaji Umar Namadi, former Jigawa State Governor Ali Saad Birnin Kudu, and other high-ranking government officials and dignitaries are among the powerful delegation that journeyed to Madina with the Kano Governor.

Before they departed from Nigeria, Yusuf gave a speech at Malam Aminu Kano International Airport, calling the deceased a father to many, whose generosity and commitment to humanity transcended borders.

He went on to say that the delegation’s trip to Madina was intended to honour Dantata’s lasting legacy and demonstrate the great regard that the Kano people and government have for him.

Yusuf stressed that the late Aminu Dantata symbolised a period of integrity, faith, and enterprise that helped shape modern Nigeria.

Bellnews understands that International dignitaries, Islamic scholars, business associates, and family members are also anticipated to attend the funeral.

“The late Aminu Dantata represented an era of integrity, faith, and enterprise that helped shape modern Nigeria,” Yusuf stated.

Dantata’s burial is anticipated to draw family members, business associates, Islamic scholars, and dignitaries from around the globe.
