Apostle Victor Oku, senior pastor of Divine Mercy Church International, Lagos, has prophesied that President Bola Tinubu will secure a second term in the 2027 general elections despite mounting opposition.

Speaking in an interview, Apostle Oku declared that “there will be no new government after 2027,” insisting that Tinubu’s re-election is divinely ordained.

“God is still with President Tinubu and this government. Tinubu will be re-elected in 2027, no matter the gang up against him,” he said.

“Man cannot thwart the will of God because He uses individuals as instruments to fulfil His purpose for a nation.”

The cleric argued that rising criticism of the Tinubu administration is driven by resistance to reforms aimed at changing the “business-as-usual” approach that, according to him, kept Nigeria in decline for years.

Meanwhile, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) — a coalition of opposition leaders including former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Labour Party’s Peter Obi, and ex-Rivers governor Rotimi Amaechi — has vowed to unseat the All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2027.

The strategy mirrors the APC’s successful 2015 campaign that dislodged the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). However, the ruling party has dismissed the ADC as “a coalition of retired politicians without electoral value.”

This is not the first prophecy about the 2027 elections. Pastor Emmanuel Ezeasor had earlier claimed that the APC “will do everything possible” to retain power, adding that those currently in government “will win.
