The National Examinations Council (NECO) has released the 2025 results for the federal unity schools across Nigeria.

This was disclosed by the Minister of State for Education, Suwaiba Ahmad on Wednesday.

According to the minister, the results for the 2025 National Common Entrance Examination (NCEE) for admitting students into the Junior Secondary School (JSS 1) of Federal Unity Colleges (FUCs) have been made public.

Ahmad said the results for the different examinations conducted for admission into the Federal Government Academy (FGA) in Suleja, Niger State, were released.

The available data showed that the examination body had 64,578 registered candidates, 61,290 of whom sat for the examination and 3,288 were absent.

Accompanied by the NECO Registrar, Ibrahim Wushishi, the minister said 13 candidates had the highest score of 202 out of the cutoff mark of 210.

He also noted that 27 candidates got the lowest score of one.

“This year, an unprecedented number of 52 candidates (two candidates from Lagos and 50 candidates from Rivers) were involved in examination malpractice,” the minister said.

While directing the Senior Secondary Education Department of the ministry to ensure conclusion of the admissions process, the minister noted that the criteria for admission remain 60 per cent merit, 30 per cent equality of states, and 10 per cent exigency.

“I want to assure all Nigerian parents that the government will continue to do its best to improve infrastructural development, feeding, and teacher quality for effective teaching and learning in our colleges,” Ahmad noted.
