There is a fresh controversy over the health of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate for the 2023 election.
Bellnewsonline.com reports that Atiku, 76, could be seen held by two aides at his Anambra rally on Thursday.
Twice this year, there have been claims of Atiku’s ill-health.
In July, a report and a video in a section of the media emerged, purporting to be of an “ailing” Atiku being helped strapped to his car seatbelt by an aide.
Similarly, in September, reports surfaced that Atiku’s trip to Europe at the time was on health grounds. There were insinuations that the PDP candidate headed to Europe to treat an undisclosed ailment.
Both times, his aides dismissed the claims, saying the former Vice-President is “in robust good health”.
Meanwhile, speaking earlier this month (December), Atiku promised that he would provide Nigerians with his health status if need be.
He added that he may not be able to use Nigeria’s healthcare facilities because there are limitations that need to be addressed.
