Apostle Johnson Suleman of Omega Fire Ministries has spoken about the recent attack in Jos, calling it more proof of the poor leadership that exists in Nigeria.

In a post shared on his social media platform, Suleman accused leaders of prioritizing political interests over the safety of citizens.

“Jos attack is another sign that leadership is failing,” he said, pointing out that it shows “leadership that puts politics before protecting people’s lives.”

He also criticized what he called bad priorities, saying that officials are more interested in political matters than dealing with insecurity.

Suleman said, “Instead of wasting our shared heritage on pre-election parties and pre-kingdom preparations, future generations will decide whether this leadership now supports, allows, and repeats what it once strongly opposed.”

The cleric said that although prayers are important, they can’t take the place of good leadership and decision-making.

“I believe in the power of prayers, but prayers alone cannot take the place of responsibility. We need compassionate leaders. These current individuals show no sign of empathy. We’re exhausted, it’s incredibly draining,” he added.

Suleman also expressed sympathy to the families who were hurt by the attack and wished them strength through prayers during their difficult time.

He said, “We support the families who lost their loved ones and pray for strength to face the unbearable pain of their loss.”
