Senator Representing Anambra South Senatorial District, Senator Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah has expressed his gratitude to his Ndi Nnamochie (Mother’s Relations) who paid him a solidarity visit at his country home in Umuanuka Otolo– Nnewi Anambra State on the 30th of December 2022. Speaking to the Editor of Vintage Newspapers exclusively, the Distinguished Senator said: ” These are my maternal relations, my Ndi Nnamochie that have come to pay a solidarity visit to me in respect of the unfortunate assassination attempt on my life. And to pledge their unalloyed support towards my ambition and that they are keen on supporting me. For me, it is a welcome development, coming from my maternal family.
So, I want to thank each and everyone of them. I pray that God will give me the grace and opportunity to touch their lives, because as a Representative of the people, most especially my maternal family,it is my duty to make sure that they are not excluded from the bountiful blessings of my representation.
I really thank them for coming and I wish them good luck. On his wishes and prayers for them, he offered:”God will continue to protect and guide them.
That God will give us the grace to go ahead and win the election and after the election, we’ll all have every cause to celebrate.”. On his message to the people of his Constituency, he replied:. ” They have seen the value of my Representation. When we were on the other side of the divide before politics, we used to plead with the Politicians to see that politics should not be about self aggrandizement, but about touching lives and services and that is exactly what I am doing.
I believe that if I don’t do well, it will be a very big disaster and disgrace to my pedigree. And it is not for me to say, but for the people to talk about all I have done. I am not desperate, but I know that the end justifies the means.
As I am rounding up my first tenure, I’ll make sure that every Ward in my Constituency is touched with one project or the other, which I think is a National Record.
Let us take it from that point, see it as a stepping stone and see how God Almighty will help us get the second tenure, then, we’ll see how the second tenure will also fare.”.
