A retired Major General and Member of Igwe Nnewi Royal Cabinet , Major General Tagbo Chisindu Ude has revealed how he singlehandedly brought peace and calm to his village. The Major General who hails from the Uruagu Quarters of Nnewi Anambra State was speaking to the Press after he delivered the Key Note Address at the recently held 1st Summit of The Nnewi Peoples Forum. In his words:
“There’s no village or town that does not know the good and bad people in it.
Anyone saying otherwise is just being economical with the truth. What I’m saying is that we should always say the right thing at every point in time.
If you see something that is wrong, say it is wrong If anyone misbehaves, let the appropriate sanctions be meted out to him or her, so that it will serve as a deterrent to would be offenders.”
Speaking further he said::”” I mentioned the issue in my village and the boy that has been terrorizing the whole village. He vandalized some of the Solar Streetlights I bought. They said this is the person doing this and anytime you take him to the Security Agencies, he comes out. I now called their Boss and told him I’m interested in this case. Good enough, they investigated him and he is now remanded at Nnewi Prison awaiting trials. And I can tell you for free that my village is now cool and calm. Thank you.””
