The House of Representatives is set to reconvene today at 9 am to deliberate on and pass the 2024 Appropriation bill. Similarly, Senators are also expected to gather to discuss and pass the Appropriation bill.
In response to an inquiry from Tribune Online, Hon. Akin Rotimi, Chairman of the House Committee on Media and Public Affairs, confirmed that the proposed plenary session is scheduled for 9 am. He stated, “Plenary is holding at 9 am Saturday. For the future, announcements remain valid unless there is contrary information.”
It is worth noting that the Senate had initially planned to hold plenary on Friday, December 29, 2023. However, the session was later postponed to Saturday, December 30, 2023, at 10 am, as communicated in a statement issued by the Clerk of the Senate, Barrister Chinedu Francis Akubueze. The memo expressed regret for any inconvenience caused by the shift in schedule.
