The newly elected Chairman of Nnewi North LGA Hon. Echezona Anazodo and the Deputy Chairman Hon. Mrs. Ijeoma Mercy Okoli have assumed their respective Offices. They took over at about 2:00pm on Tuesday, the 8th of October, 2024, after a brief Handing Over Ceremony by the out-gone Chairman. In a brief speech after the take over, the Executive Chairman of Nnewi North LGA, Hon Echezona Anazodo stated that he has no choice but to hit the ground running as there is no time to waste.
He promised to re-enginer the Security Architecture in Nnewi, so that the various Security Agencies can cooperate and work in synergy. He pointed out that the Anambra State Governor, His Excellency, Prof. Charles Soludo is very concerned about the security situation in Nnewi and has given him a time frame to deal with the situation.
He also spoke on the deplorable condition of the road network in Nnewi and promised to tackle the problem squarely. He equally used the opportunity to thank all those who contributed to their electoral victory.
Also speaking, the Deputy Chairman, Hon.Mrs Ijeoma Mercy Okoli thanked everyone for the efforts they put in towards the success of their election and assured that they would live up to expectation.
