In the wake of the deadly attacks launched by dare-devil gunmen along the Enugu-Nsukka road in the SouthEastern state of Enugu barely a day ago, a video showing governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi leading the military and other security agencies on a visit to the hideouts of the criminals has surfaced online.
Recall that in the early hours of Thursday, October 27, 2022, reports from several media outlets indicated that scores of travelers were abducted along the Enugu-Nsukka road after some gunmen laid siege on the highway. It was also gathered that the former Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Dr. Dan Shere was among those taken by the kidnappers.
In his reaction to the incident, Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi led a joint team of security agencies including the Commanding Officer of the 82 Division in the State, General Umar Musa to the different hideouts and flash points along the axis where attacks have been recorded within a short period.
