Nigerian street-pop artiste, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has rejected an offer of ₦100 million to fight social media critic, Martins Otse, known as VeryDarkMan (VDM).

Bellnews reports that Portable insisted that he would only accept a ₦1 billion fee to get physical with VDM.

Recall that their clash began after Portable called out VDM for criticising the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, accusing the activist of disrespecting Nigeria’s leadership.

Following Portable’s remarks, both figures launched into a flurry of online attacks, trading insults, accusations, and releasing diss tracks aimed at each other.

“You dey fight government wey no send you. Mind your business,” Portable said in one of his Instagram videos.

In a viral video, Portable dismissed the ₦100 million offer to fight VeryDarkMan as insufficient, claiming that he regularly receives such amounts from his fan base.

He said: “That ₦100 million, my fans give it to me. ₦100 million is small for me to fight VDM. Let them give me one billion, I will fight him and beat him.

“If anybody can drop ₦1 billion, I will fight him. Someone you can’t hold, you are now asking me to fight and beat him.

“You are scared of him, you can’t jail him.”
