The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has officially acknowledged David Mark as the new National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), and Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola as the National Secretary.
This comes after weeks of controversy surrounding the leadership of the coalition-led ADC following the stepping down of Ralph Nwosu.
However, in a post via 𝕏 account on Wednesday, the National Publicity Secretary of the ADC, Bolaji Abdullahi, confirmed that INEC has recognized the new executives of the party led by former Senate President, David Mark.
Bellnews reports that he shared the link from INEC’s official data page on its website and wrote Game on!
The list from the INEC website recognizes David Mark as the ADC National Chairman, Rauf Aregbesola as the National Secretary, Ibrahim Ahmad as National Treasurer, Akibu Dalhatu as National Financial Secretary, and Professor Oserheimen Osunbor as National Legal Adviser.
Meanwhile, former lawmaker, Dino Melaye, has stated that the opposition coalition party, African Democratic Congress (ADC), is prepared to unseat President Bola Tinubu.
Bellnews reports that Melaye, during an interview on Arise Television’s Prime Time programme on Monday, said the 2027 electoral contest will not be “a tea party as usual.”
He accused the All Progressives Congress (APC) of misgovernance and maladministration, noting that while the ruling party “came, saw and conquered” at a time, the 2027 elections would produce a different outcome.
Melaye maintained that Tinubu and the APC will be sent out of the presidential villa, adding that Nigerians are now more prepared to defend their votes.
