Manchester City coach, Pep Guardiola has identified Lisandro Martínez as the player who helped Manchester United to beat his team 2-1 in the FA Cup final on Saturday.
Guardiola watched as two goals from Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo gave Erik Ten Hag’s side the victory over Man City at Wembley Stadium.
Jeremy Doku did score a goal for the Premier League champion.
Speaking at his post-match interview, Guardiola singled out Martínez for praise, insisting that the Argentine made the difference during the FA Cup final.
“Lisandro Martínez is top 5 centre-backs in the world,” Guardiola said.
“He made the difference in this game by playing passes through our defence”.
