The English Premier League (EPL) has extended its congratulations to four Super Eagles players for their stellar performance, which secured Nigeria’s place in the semi-finals of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Cote D’Ivoire.
In a post shared on its official Twitter account, the EPL sent a goodwill message after Nigeria’s 1-0 victory over Angola in the AFCON quarter-final encounter on Friday.
The four Super Eagles stars acknowledged in the tweet are Alex Iwobi, Ola Aina, Frank Onyeka, and Calvin Bassey.
“Nigeria is into the AFCON semi-finals,” announced the EPL in its tweet.
“Congratulations to Frank Onyeka, Calvin Bassey, Ola Aina, and Alex Iwobi.”
Frank Onyeka currently showcases his talents at the Premier League club, Brentford, while Ola Aina represents Nottingham Forest. Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey are associated with Fulham.
