A convoy of former Governor of Enugu State, Chimaroke Nnamani on Saturday was chased out by an agitated crowd in Enugu.
Bellnewsonline.com reports that residents of the Enugu State trooped out in mass and chased away a convoy of the former Enugu governor, which came to the part of the city to solicit votes ahead of the forthcoming elections.
In the video that surfaced, the crowd could be heard in Igbo saying, ‘Chimaroke Nnamani ‘ Onye Ori ‘translating to ‘Chimaroke the Thief’
Bellnewsonline.com recalls that Nnamani and others were expelled from the party on Friday, as they were being accused of anti-party activities.
Their expulsion was announced by the spokesperson of the party, Debo Ologunagba at end of the PDP NWC 566th meeting on Friday.
Ologunagba disclosed that the party approved their expulsion from the PDP owing to anti-party activities and other grave offences in violation of the Constitution of the PDP (as amended in 2017).
Others expelled from the Party include Hon. Chris Ogbu (Imo State), Ajijola Lateef Oladimeji (Ekiti Central), Olayinka James Olalere (Ekiti Central II), Fayose Oluwajomiloju John (Ekiti Central I), Akerele Oluyinka (Ekiti North I) and Emiola Adenike Jennifer -(Ekiti South II).
