Anarchy – A former Minister of Aviation in Nigeria, Femi Fani-Kayode, on Tuesday, accused his former boss, ex-president Olusegun Obasanjo of plotting to cause chaos in Nigeria.
Bellnewsonline.com reports that Obasanjo on Monday raised the alarm that danger is lurking around Nigeria over the alleged compromise of the ongoing election process.
But Fani-Kayode, a chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) who is a member of the party’s Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) took exception to Obasanjo’s stance.
The APC chieftain stated that having declared his support for Peter Obi, presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Obasanjo lacked the right “to act as an independent statesman”.
“After declaring for Peter Obi, OBJ became an interested party and lost the right to act as an independent statesman.
“He has plunged into the ring of fire and has chosen the path of lawlessness and anarchy.
“By attempting to scuttle democracy he has wiped away the good he has done in the past,” Fani-Kayode wrote.
