The Presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has promised (NANS) National Association of Nigerian students that the lingering strike action of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) would be called off soon therefore students should start preparing for resumption back to classes.
This development was made known via the tweet of Special Assistant to Lagos Governor on Media , Mr. Jubril Gawat and Mr. Segun Dada, a member of the political party
The presidential candidate revealed this while meeting with members of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) in Osun state recently.
He stated that the recent expression of the president statement towards the strike action was an avenue for him to intervene urgently.
He added that a back channel was being thought of to engage the leadership of ASUU but the President made the process more easier through his “Enough is Enough” statement.
