The Anambra State Police Command has launched a search for Inspector Audu Omadefu, one of its officers, in connection with a suspected murder case. According to a statement by DSP Ikenga Tochukwu, the Police Public Relations Officer of the Command, Inspector Omadefu, identified with AP No. 362178, has gone into hiding following the alleged crime.
The public is urged to report any sighting or provide information on the whereabouts of the fugitive officer to the nearest police station or contact the Command Control Room at 07039194332. Alternatively, they can reach out to the PPRO at 08039334002. All information received will be treated with the utmost confidentiality.
The declaration of Inspector Audu Omadefu as wanted underscores the Anambra State Police Command’s commitment to upholding integrity and accountability, as assured by the State’s Commissioner of Police, CP Aderemi Adeoye, upon assuming office in July 2023.
